Conquest of the Indoamericano park

The political debate around the issue of the housing shortage isn't new in Buenos Aires. In those days of December 2010 was the scene of a racist attack against the migrants of Paraguay, Perú, Bolivia that argue with his work an important part of the economy and the infrastructure behind the city: hundreds of families who had occupied a abandoned park in the south of the city were evicted by the Metropolitan Police and Federal. During the repression, died Bernardo Salgueiro, paraguayan, carpenter, 22 years old, a neighbor of Villa 20; Rosemary Chura Puña, bolivian immigrant who had arrived 6 years ago to the country, with her husband and two sons. After the repression, the head of the city government, Mauricio Macri, blamed by the incidents to the "uncontrolled immigration" and opened the door for a series of xenophobic attacks staged by hooligans hired and pointers that political lunged to shots against the occupiers. During the first of these attacks died Juan Emilio Quispe Castañares, a bolivian driver of oars that he had gone to the park in search of a place for their daughters of 2 and 4 years, both born in Argentina. Many of the wounded were hit by the bullets when they tried to rescue the young; it was not a "spontaneous reaction of the neighbors angrily", but of a attack led and organized from sectors with power. After the attacks, which included the burning of several tents, the takeover of land continued. Finally, after 6 days, the venue was ousted by the Gendarmerie National, security force semi militarized, through the siege of the park. To date, the park remains abandoned, now surrounded by high fences, and has not been effective response to the need of the hundreds of families involved.
